After using book A with our Math Intervention students in grades 5-6, we decided that it would also benefit the 7th and 8th intervention students as well. So we purchased books B and C. Really helps students determine "what the problem is asking me to do". Glad we are using them.

the book itself is a very good book although i have seen some errors in the answers. for the most part it is a very good book for someone starting out with problem solving. a little direction in a few of the problems would be helpful as in the proper format to solve percentages, etc.

I am shocked that this was the author's first novel, and I am definitely hoping it won't be her last! I know this is a plot that has been done multiple times over, but Abrams writing style made it seem fresh and new. I really appreciated the way she approached the main characters' developing feelings for each other especially since given the overall plot. The writing was quick, it was funny, it was awkward, it was adorable. It was so good that I've read it again since purchasing. The characters weren't perfect (re: Jase was kind of a jerk at times, but overall charming - and aren't all boys?), but that definitely added to the realness and endearing feeling of the book. It was sweet, it was predictable, it was a fast, easy read - everything you'd expect from a YA novel. The biggest thing I wasn't a fan of was the epilogue because as much as I love big happy endings, I'm not a fan of forcing every character you've introduced into a big circle of friendship. Even still, I highly recommend it. One of the best YA books I've read in a while.

I enjoyed all the characters in this book, especially the male heartthrob. ;) He was sweet and genuine. The dialogue between the two is natural and convincing. Very believable High School setting. A sweet book that, unlike so many out there, does not go so far as sex and intimate details. It hints at sex, but does not go there. I'm a mom of 2 teen girls. I enjoy YA books, but also read them to somewhat understand how the world of teens work, as well as how to talk to my daughters. I also try to find books for them to read that are cleaner than most.

This book surpasses my expectation. I’ve read books with similar premises and cliché ending, yeah, the ending was cliché, however, it had some twists and turns that I wasn’t expecting. I thought the characters could have been given a talent or something of interest, beside sports, such as painting, writing, photography, origami? This would’ve been a healthy distraction away from the revenge plot and added more gravity towards Lexi’s and Jase’s character.  There was a clear lesson to be learn from this book. I wish it was written when I was a teen; I could’ve use said advise. I think this book ended a little bit too suddenly. I was so sure a second book would’ve been in the making because I was 90% through the book and the apology/make-up scene wasn’t there. The confession scene btw Lexi and Jase was too short. Jase said a lot of hurtful words to her and during the apology scene, his excuses did not atone for the hurtful words and actions he did. I didn’t buy it and I thought Lexi should’ve made him work for it. I didn’t so much like the epilogue, it was too happily ever after, with nearly every one pairing up and dating and that affected me giving it 5 stars. I wanted a second book, with Jase going away to college and Lexi remaining at home, entering her senior year of high school, learning to cope with her insecurities that I don’t think she fully mastered and seeing how their new relationship weather the distance.  All-in-all this was a good young adult book. I am now a new fan of this author and willing to read any book she publishes.Â

I hate!read over half this book. The book started off good for the first few chapters then quickly got boring and slow. I honestly just lost interest because I felt like it dragged on a bit. Jase honestly confused me as much as he seemed to confuse Lexi. Like I honestly spent the whole book not getting an inclining of really attraction and romance between the two. There were moments he would say things that made you suspect he liked Lexi but honestly this was a really boring love story. Like he supposedly always liked Lexi but kept checking another hotter girl around her. Yeah no they didn’t really fit for me. I honestly didn’t ship them and wanted them to just end up as friends. The character growth was super slowand they constantly seemed to make the same stupid mistakes. The main character quickly became uninteresting and came off as kind of weak for a main character. I’m not really into wimpy pathetic characters. It made it feel tedious to read and I hate when I have to force myself to keep going. This book didn’t really get good again until the end. This book really should not have dragged on as long as it did and been maybe half the size considering the cliché plot. Still I liked the ending so I went ahead and gave it two stars.

This review may contain SPOILERS. I liked the author's writing style BUT I felt like there were plot holes by the end, and a lot of things just didn't make sense to me. The number one thing that didn't make sense is how supposedly the male MC was in love with the female MC the entire time, but he was always drooling and looking at the other girl with such infatuation nearly every time he was with the female MC. If he was really in love with the female MC the whole time and was using other girls as a distraction, wouldn't he have been more focused when he was with the female MC instead of always being distracted by the other girl?

It’s s take as old as time told in a fresh and fun way that was extremely enjoyable to read. I absolutely enjoyed the romance between jase and Lexi. I thought it was obvious from the start that Jase was in love with her but the slow burn of them taking forever to admit their feelings was still good. The only thing. I didn’t really like about the book was Lexi’s best friend Trish. There were a lot of moments where she came off controlling, and mean to me and it was easy to see that she abused her friendship with Lexi. Towards the end I started to like Trish a little bit more, but I think Lexi could’ve done with a better best friend.
