#17,417 Paid in Kindle Store (See Top 100 Paid in Kindle Store)

I've read the other 2 books in this series and have enjoyed them, have found the characters and the plots interesting, but it unfortunately never goes beyond that. The author STILL has not invested in a good editor for her work, or invested enough of her own time for a few re-reads and re-writes it would seem. Unfortunate and laughable misuse of words, simple grammar mistakes and typos abound. Confusion reigns many times over who is talking to whom. (Altar not alter! Piss off not piss of....sigh, you get the idea.)Also flat writing abounds at times. "Diamond enjoyed the scenery." That's nice, Huh? I say this, because the stories are full of interesting personalities -- great to see more of those wacky Porters-- but the author is not taking the time to explore or reveal much of the juicy meat here. Just as I'm starting to get captivated by a character or their doings, it all gets glided over, and taken away.I liked our heroine Diamond and her biker family angst. I liked her and Knox together. But then we're told they are spending every night together for weeks at her place or his. Sorry I didn't get to see it! That's a major relationship development the reader would have enjoyed and gotten a lot out of. Things tend to get rushed and tied up too swiftly.Great moment when the Last Rider girls argued with Diamond over having their hottest men taken away from them once these men had fallen in love and gone monogamous. They freak and tell off Diamond to leave their super hot Knox alone. Excellent! Perfect and priceless moment. More please! All these types of issues get resolved way too easily though. Knox ends up leaving his huge king size bed which usually sees nightly 4-some action and moves into a small room with a small bed and goes celibate-wow-- but no one says a word. Even the murder mystery gets resolved and tied up tidy. I did like the resolution to the Sam situation though. There was some mention that Knox likes it "rough" but there isn't much exploration of that either. It's all about Knox's piercings here and his all the time hunger. Knox's secret pain is revealed and it is touching. Also, once again, the absolute membership rules seem only to apply just to the original biker girl members. Our new heroines seem to gain membership with "alternative" votes every time....not fair! If I was Evie and the girls I would be ticked! The Friday night party scenes are pretty tame here compared to the first book with Razer and Beth. This book provides another look at Diamond's sister the crazy Sex Piston and her girl gang who are now going thru big changes with their male biker counterparts...more stories coming up.The ending had me laughing out loud...utterly unexpected, out of left field, and way too hokey and cutesy. Didn't buy it. Sorry. All in all, an entertaining read, but unfortunately not enough meat on the bones in this quickly cooked stew.

I was definitely excited to get to this character. More so to read more about his sex scenes! I knew he was good from the other books but damn I wasn't expecting the stamina, the piercings, oh my. Let me cool down...whew. Let's start from the beginning.Stupidly, Knox starts by sleeping with Sam again. I wanted to punch him! Of course, this stupid decision leads to him being a suspect in her murder. Luckily for him he gets Diamond as his lawyer.Diamond, a daughter to another MC President, is a lawyer and wants nothing to do with the MC life. A traumatic situation with her father when she was young has turned her against her family and that life. Her mother is the only relationship she keeps from that life. This definitely does not help Knox trying to get her to admit she wants him. When she finally gave in to her desire for Knox, they are together every night. Her sister catches them and lays out all that she knows about what happens at The Last Riders clubhouse and Diamond was clueless. She also finds out Knox wasn't moving in the direction she was. She thought this was turning into a serious relationship and Knox wasn't. He was going to walk away when he was done with her. Well, he says that was the plan but we all know at some point this turned into something more for him too but he couldn't admit it to himself. A dead wife could do that to you. Of course, it all worked out in the end.Of course they realize Knox didn't kill Sam. The things that I was surprised about was Knox moving out of the clubhouse and becoming a cop! I never got the inkling that he wanted to do more then the MC life. I was happy to see Diamond fix her relationship with her family in the end too. Can't wait to read Sex Piston's book!

Knox’s Stand (Last Riders #3)By: Jamie Begley5/5 starsKnox Bates is the biggest, club member in the Last Riders. He’s notorious for needing more than one woman a night. He’s pierced, knows how to use them for both his and her pleasure and he is absolutely insatiable (as is most of the club!) But when he is framed for murder and it is looking like a solid case, he’s going to need a damn good lawyer to get free.Diamond Richards grew up in the biker lifestyle with her mom & dad, the president & sister, in the Destructors MC. But she grew disillusioned with her family & threw herself into her school work, determined to get away. Now, an attorney, she’s able to support herself. After being offered an exorbitant amount to prove Knox’s innocence, Diamond agrees to take on his case.Knox and Diamond have to work together. Even though Knox is cranky most of the time, it doesn’t faze Diamond. But her passionless life may be coming to a close because Knox will heat up her entire world. But due to a great sadness in his life, he isn’t able to get close to almost anyone, especially if they are outside of the Lost Riders. Diamond is worried about her heart, because she knows what she needs in life and knows that Knox is most likely incapable of giving that to her long-term.Shade’s story is slowly being pieced together. In the first book, we were only given a hint of a possibility between him and Lily. In the second book, his interest was obvious and Winter took care to guide situations where they were involved, even if it was just talking that almost set Shade off. In this book, we get to see a bit more of the real Shade. We also get to see more of his family & the family dynamic was a little surprising, but totally awesome. In this book, we got to see quite a bit of the previous couples from books 1 & 2, Razer & Beth and Viper & Winter along with all the other members of the Last Riders and Beth’s sister, Lily. We also got to see Viper & Winter’s wedding. Diamond’s sister, Sex Piston and her crew also make an appearance, which is somewhat of a train wreck, but at the same time, kinda hilarious.Reading order:Razer's Ride (The Last Riders, #1)Viper's Run (The Last Riders, #2)Knox's Stand (The Last Riders, #3)Sex Piston (Biker Bitches, #1)Teased (The VIP Room, #1)Tainted (The VIP Room, #2)Shade's Fall (The Last Riders, #4)King (The VIP Room, #3)Cash's Fight (The Last Riders, #5)Fat Louise (Biker Bitches, #2)
