These are the full size books~ Great buy. These are also the hardbacks so again great buy. It actually does come in this Dr.Suess book holder as shown and so this really is a GREAT BUY!
My 2.5 year old has been asking to learn to read and after much research, I thought the two Dr. Seuss Beginner Book Collections would be a good place to start. Especially this one, with the ABC book, since he has to recognize all his letters before he can start sounding out words. We've been reading it every night for a week and he is already reciting his ABC's and able to announce which letter comes next before he sees it. Additionally, the books hold his attention, I enjoy reading them too, and the interesting mix of words, rhymes and odd stories seem like a great way to keep kids engaged. Neither of us have any issues with the quality of the books or thickness of the paper. Their the standard size, hardback versions and I'm very happy. Plus, what a great value!
We were all thrilled with all the booksI have ordered.My son grew up listening to all the amusingstories of Dr. Seuss. Unfortunately all hisfavorite books were lost in a flood.So now I am sending my son new Dr. Seussbooks to read to his young son.I've ordered the first set and the second setOf books. Both book orders have come on timeand in perfect condition.
I bought these because, even though he's only 6 months old, my son loves being read Dr. Seuss books. We think it has to do with the colorful pictures and cadence of the rhymes, because he doesn't get anywhere near excited with non-rhyming books. His great aunt got him the first beginner book collection, and after we saw how excited he got over those, we bought these so we weren't reading the same set of books over and over again. My mom has gotten him the Dr. Seuss board books, but they are abridged and very short. And while he likes chewing on the board books, he appears to enjoy looking at the pictures and being read to from the full length books better.
All the Dr.Seuss' books are timeless & will always be a staple of the process of learning to read. I purchased these for my granddaughter. She's only 2, & can only look at the pics now, but she already loves them. It wouldn't surprise me if she were to start reading them a year from now.
Great price and books. My 7 yr old has a collection now, and these books got him more interested in reading. Silly and fun, and worked like a charm for my reluctant reader!
These books are hard cover, beautiful classics that I had for my children and now the new ones are for my granddaughter. They never go out of style!
